The University Grants Commission announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 26^th June 2011 (Sunday) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges. UGC will conduct NET in 78(seventy eight including ‘Bodo’ as a new subject) subjects (listed under item no. 9) at 74 (Seventy four) selected University Centres (listed under Item no. 10) spread across the country.

Last date for Applying On-Line=24.04.2011

Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form (2 copies) , Attendance Slip (one copy) and Admission Card (one copy) at the respective test centre opted by the candidate (with fee receipt & category certificate(s) =2-5-2011

For JRF-

Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship will be eligible to receive fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities/IITs/institutions. The validity period of the offer is two years w.e.f. the date of issue of JRF Award Letter. However, in case the candidates who already have joined M.Phil/Ph.D., the date of commencement of fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET result or date of their joining, whichever is later.For more detail click here-

the subject of English as an elective subject in the above examination.

Public Notice by HSSCShifting Exam Centre of Written Test of SS Master.

It has come to the notice of HSSC that Haryana Public Service Commission is  also holding a screening test for various posts of Junior Lecturers (i.e. English, Sanskrit, Political Science & History) against their Advt. No.4/2009 (only backlog of SC category candidates) at Panchkula on 27.3.2011 from 2.30 p.m. onwards.
It is intimated that only those candidates who are appearing simultaneously in both the written examinations of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission and Haryana Public Service Commission, respectively,  they are advised to approach the Haryana Staff Selection Commission with a written request up to 25.3.2011 for shifting of their examination centre at Panchkula. After the said date no request will be entertained in this regard.
